My lovely clients who were referred to me by a mutual friend won the bidding war this past March 2025. We were on the hunt for the perfect place, after narrowing down the criteria to the neighborhood and property specifics. We visited many options but none were actually THE ONE.
When she finally walked into The One, she knew. The One is always a feeling more than anything. Yes, it ticked all the boxes but the feeling of Home and gut instincts are what sealed the deal.
As we wrote up the offer, I received the notice from the listing agent that 3 offers had been received. It was then that the buyer had to decide how high she would go as a take it or leave it offer to try and beat out all the other offers.
I always tell my buyers when faced with a multiple bid situation, to offer the best they can that if the other offers were $5 more they would be ok losing it.
The PR team at The Agency where I am affiliated, recently reached out to our office to see who may have a client that would fit the New York Times section of The Hunt. I reached out to them and proposed my client who fit the description of what they were looking for... They had to have visited at least 3 properties to finally have chosen one. My client agreed and they went with her story interviewing her about the whole process.
