In the winter, two ice rinks are built for skating and hockey from December to March. The Irving L. Adessky Community Centre within Hampstead Park is the hub for local events, activities, sports programs, sociocultural programs, and Town Council Meetings. Hampstead has only one only school in the city, Hampstead Elementary School, which is public.
